On Facebook, a last week, I posted my top 10 movies I think everyone should see before they die. Well, I'm going to edit that list on here because, to be frank, I care more about this site than my Facebook. I'm not going to really go in depth as to what these films are about. I'm sure you all have IMDB bookmarked and if you don't, you have failed...
Without further ado,
My Top 5 Films That I am Currently Thinking About:
1. Paris, Je T'aime

I chose this as my #1 because, well, it is quite possibly the best film I have ever seen. It is a collection of vignettes done by a bunch of different directors about different romances in Paris, France. Each one seems to portrait a different emotion so perfectly, this is, without a doubt, my favorite film every thought up. I really am just braying because I can't put into words how much I adore it. If you are one of those people who can't deal with subtitles, you should probably either learn to read or hang yourself. Either/Or. Apparently, they released
New York, I Love You but I have yet to see it.
When you do end up watching this, my favorite segment is the very first one. God, I have to go watch this when I'm done.
2.
Annie Hall
Before I had actually seen
Annie Hall, I had been working at Blockbuster and it had come up in a random conversation with a guy who I was working with named Jason. He told me I have to go out and see it before I see anything else and that it perfectly sums up relationships. Jason was dead on. The interaction twixt Woody Allen and Diane Keaton is absolutely flawless. If you haven't seen this, you should probably do so before seeing anything else. It's an all around great film for anyone who has ever been or is in a relationship.
3.
Let The Right One In
Now, when it comes to modern day vampire films, I am
INCREDIBLY skeptical.

"
Oh, hey guys. I'm Edward Cullen. I'm a douchebag. I am a douchy vampire who looks like something straight out of the OC. I am one of these retarded neo-vamps that Kevin was talking about. Vampires like Nosferatu & Dracula? That shit's for the birds. Look at me. We're making vampires pretty! Brb, gotta go to Hot Topic." Let The Right One In was an absolute masterpiece. It is a pretty intense and terrifying horror story while having such a beautiful and romantic undertoe to it. Oskar is the perfect lead character for this film. He is so innocent, yet so troubled and as an active participant, we feel so close to him. If you enjoy a good (good being the keyword) vampire movie, check this out.
4. Wristcutters: A Love Story
The entire reason I am doing this entry right now is because I just finished watching this and needed to let people know how awesome it is. I am a huge fan of Shannyn Sossamon. She didn't quite make my 3 attractive celebs list, but she would probably be 4th or 5th (Natalie Portman is up there). But I digress, there wasn't anything about this film I didn't like. The scenes which were supposed to be graphic, depicting death, were really quite tame. They did it in such a classy manor. Go see it. After you go watch Annie Hall. Do it. I made this entry because of this film. You had better go watch it.
5. High Fidelity
Great relationship movie. Uhh, I really don't know what else to say except John and Joan Cusack, Jack Black, Tim Robbins, Catherine Zeta-Jones. Also, incredible soundtrack and amazing dialog. If for nothing else, watch it for the dialog.
